Acoustic River Festival Logo Design Derry

Acoustic River Festival Logo Design Derry – This is a logo I designed for a forthcoming music and dance festival to be held in County Derry during the Derry 2013 UK City of Culture year. As the title may suggest the festival is to be held near a river bank and hence my choice of colours for the logo, the blue’s to represent the river and water and the greens to represent the river bank and earth. The festival is going to incorporate all types of music and dance so I built up the river bank in the logo design using all sorts of music and dance based icons.

Dudey Army Artwork – Paul McCloskey Boxing Robe

Last weekend Boxer Paul ‘Dudey’ McCloskey was in action again at Belfast’s Odyssey arena and successfully defeated Mexican-American Boxer Manuel Perez. I had previously worked on some poster designs for this fight which can be seen here… Dudey contacted me the week before the fight with an idea of getting some artwork designed for his boxing robe. He had an idead of a skeleton or skull with the words ‘Dudey Army’ (the term given to Dudey’s fans and followers) somewhere on the design. After a few concepts the artwork below is what we arrived at and it can be seen on the back of Dudey’s boxing gown in the second picture… The photo of Dudey in the ring is copyright Russell Pritchard. twitter.com/russellpritchrd

Wane’s World Dungiven, Derry, Brand Identity Design

This is a brand identity that I redesigned for Wane’s World Party & Play Centre in Dungiven, Co.Derry, Northern Ireland. Wane’s World already had a logo design in place from when they first launched but it had become stagnant and needed revived and redesign by adding some fun into the brand. Basing the new logo design on the brand identity that they had already built up I simply updated the characters of the boys and girls and added in some new fun text which would appeal to children and made the colours more vibrant so they jump out and attract attention. All in all this is the perfect update to their brand Identity as anyone who is already familiar with the old logo design would look at this one and instantly recognise it is the same company but with a fresh new logo design.

Alignment Coach / Yoga Instructor Logo Design

This logo design is one I created for an Alignment Coach and Yoga Teacher called Kerry Cullen who is based in Donegal, Ireland. Kerry is a Occupational Psychologist that specialises in Alignment Coaching but is also a Yoga teacher. I wanted to come up with a logo design that wasn’t leaning to much towards the yoga side of things as there is already lots of that out there and her work more focuses on the alignment coaching side of things. After many attempts and several yoga inspired designs it struck me that alignment coaching is all about balance and the image of the balancing pebbles was exactly what I was looking for. With some colours inspired by Kerry herself the logo quickly took shape and looks like below.

From here we were able to use the image of the balancing pebbles for the brand identity other purposes which will be carried through Kerrys business stationary and website. Below shows the balancing pebbles with some of the keywords that Kerry uses to inspire her clients in her coaching.

Logo Design New York, Gym Logo Design, Brooklyn

This is a Logo Design I’ve been working on for a Gym based on the theme of Irish Legend Finn McCool. The logo for Finn’s Gym Brooklyn, New York features a character based on Finn McCool lifting weights which are made from the basalt columns which can be found in Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland which makes up part of the story of Finn McCool. The type used for FINN’S GYM Brooklyn I created using Letterpress software recreating old printing methods.

I have decided to tweak my logo as its not saying exactly what I need it too. The first version of if said web design derry which is my main keyword but it doesnt mention graphic design which is very important, so i have redesigned it slightly with new text ‘Graphic & Web Design’ and a new font, I also updated the colours. Garra Rufa Fish Spa Logo Design

There is a new craze sweeping the nation at the moment which is Garra Rufa Fish Spa’s, which involves putting your feet into a tank of water with hundreds of little garra rufa fish which eat away all the bad skin. I had an idea for a logo for this but before I even worked on it i was contacted by a company looking to get a very such logo designed so great timing. Below is my ideas for this logo design.

Fairground Logo Design

I am working on a logo for a company that takes photographs on Fairground rides called fairground photos. Its a work in progress but I like this concept so thought Id upload it here. I have actually moved away from this design towards a cleaner cut design as this one is too cartoony for what the company need but i still think its a fun logo design.
