Something different for Pamela and Marks Wedding Invitation. They wanted a retro wedding invitation using typography as the main focus. I remembered seeing some cool fonts that I had wanted to use for a while and they worked perfectly for this invitation design.
When I was contacted not even a year ago to design a couple some penguin books inspired wedding invitations I didn’t think 8 months later I would be still be providing book loving couples with similar styled invitations. But it seems the Penguin Books and Penguin Classics style of Wedding Invitation are hugely popular with book lovers and I have been providing them to couples all over the world. This is the latest one I have designed up for a couple in Texas, USA. This one is completed with a grungy finish to give it the impression of being an old book or vintage feel, it also uses one of the other colours found in penguin book covers instead of the traditional orange.

This is a book cover design I recently worked on. Its for Belfast based writer Steve Wellings forthcoming book ‘Irish Boxing Review 2012′, due out very soon. I will post the link to the book here as soon as its released. The book cover features Belfast Boxer Carl Frampton. I’m looking forward to seeing it in the shops.
This is a Logo Design I’ve been working on for a Gym based on the theme of Irish Legend Finn McCool. The logo for Finn’s Gym Brooklyn, New York features a character based on Finn McCool lifting weights which are made from the basalt columns which can be found in Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland which makes up part of the story of Finn McCool. The type used for FINN’S GYM Brooklyn I created using Letterpress software recreating old printing methods.
This is another poster design I created starting off using letterpress software to recreate the old letterpress printing method. I am a big fan of vintage surfing posters so I wanted to create something in the theme of surf poster design. The topic I used for the surf poster design is the theme of the Sea Sessions Surf & Music Festival which takes place in Bundoran, Co Donegal, Ireland each summer.
I have been doing some work with letterpress print graphic design recently, here is one such experiment on a poster to support Ireland in the forthcoming Six nations Rugby tournament.

This poster style wedding invitation design is one I designed for a couple who wanted something unique and different for their wedding invitations instead of the usual run of the mill style wedding invites. Because of their Names Lucy & Tim I was able to make a feature of the letters U & I which was a nice touch for the wedding invitation.

For the past few months I have been working closely with a Children’s Educational Book author called Catherine O’Kane from Dungiven, Co Derry, N.Ireland. She is developing a series of Children’s Educational / Learning Books and I have been doing the graphic design work and book layouts getting them ready for print. As you can imagine this is a fun project to be involved in with lots of colour and fun imagery.
